Silver is subject to tarnishing over time, resulting in dull or even black jewellery. Tarnishing occurs when silver is exposed to oxygen and sulphur in the air. It is unavoidable, but, thankfully, it doesn't damage the metal and can be removed easily with our cleaning wipes.
How to prevent tarnishing:
Simply wearing your silver jewellery will slow the process of tarnishing. Being careful with how you store and wear the silver will also help reduce the speed of tarnishing.
How to clean silver:
The simplest way to clean silver is to buy our specialist Jewellery Cleaning Wipes. Our wipes remove any tarnish from silver jewellery that hasn't been worn in a while. Each wipes is impregnated on both sides with a specially designed formula to help keep your Forty7 Jewellery in the best condition. All you have to do is use both sides to rub against your jewellery, once both sides are black you simply dispose of the used wipe and use another.
